Plaintiff, a licensed real estate broker, instituted this action against defendants to recover the amount of a real estate commission allegedly earned or a parcel of land of equal value in lieu thereof. The controversy centers upon 27 acres of land jointly owned by defendants in the Town of Wilmington, Essex County. Wishing to sell the subject property, defendants listed it with plaintiff and informed him that an offer which would net them $21,500, not necessarily $21,500...
