The Carroll County Department of Family & Children Services petitioned the superior court for temporary custody of two minor children, alleging that they were deprived. A hearing was held and the court determined from the evidence presented that the children were deprived and awarded custody to the Department of Human Resources. The parents appeal, contending that the trial court erred in failing to separate the deprivation and disposition hearings...
