Defendant was found guilty by a jury on two counts of distributing a controlled substance. On appeal he contends that the trial court erred (1) by not granting defendant a preliminary hearing on the charge contained in the amended information, (2) by commenting in the presence of the jury on the effectiveness of the cross examination of one of the state's witnesses, and (3) by permitting the state to question defendant about his prior use of drugs...
