On March 5, 1975, the defendant, Robert Kennison, was found guilty by a jury of attempted rape, a felony. A motion for new trial was filed on March 6, 1975, before the district court. On March 14, 1975, following a hearing before that court, defendant's motion was denied, and the State's motion for judgment on the verdict was granted.
