McCOWN, Justice.

The defendant pleaded nolo contendere to a charge of assault with intent to inflict great bodily injury and was sentenced to 2 to 5 years imprisonment. The sole issue on appeal is whether the defendant's sentence was excessive.

Defendant was originally charged with one count of robbery and two counts of assault with intent to inflict great bodily injury, all arising out of an incident in the early morning hours of November 30, 1974. Sometime...
