Error, if any there be, with respect to limitation of cross-examination of the witness Hoover was harmless in light of the extensive cross-examination of Hoover establishing his interest in testifying for the People in order to help himself in the criminal prosecution against him and the overwhelming evidence of defendant's guilt (see People v Crimmins, 36 N.Y.2d 230
