SMITH, Judge.

Thorpe appeals from a judgment of conviction and 30-year sentence for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The court imposed an extended term of imprisonment pursuant to Section 775.084, Florida Statutes (1975).

Thorpe complains of the trial court's exclusion from evidence of testimony by Thorpe's employer that he never observed Thorpe in possession of a firearm before March 13, 1976, the date of Thorpe's alleged offense. Thorpe's defense...
