These convictions arose from a series of incidents of vandalism and arson directed against a black family that intended to move into a house, 351 Milton Avenue, Staten Island, on the block on which the appellants reside. The home of the new black neighbors was subjected to hostile acts ranging from shooting out the front windows and splashing paint...
