This appeal arises from three misdemeanor convictions in the district court under the Assimilative Crimes Act of 1948, 18 U.S.C. § 13,1 and concerned a June 10, 1976 altercation at the United States Naval Ordnance Station in Louisville, Kentucky, between defendant Sturgill, a machinist at the station, and Joseph Frank Scott, a security guard at the station.
