Mr. JUSTICE REARDON delivered the opinion of the court:

The defendant, Michael Lee Frost, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the Circuit Court of Coles County. The defendant was sentenced to probation for a period of 3 years, with the first 6 months to be served in the Coles County jail. The victim of this alleged offense was the defendant's 2 1/2 year old stepson, Toby Bradley.
