In this school case we review the district court's order desegregating several elementary schools in Columbus, Mississippi. The area of disagreement between the parties is narrow. Appellant School District concedes that the current elementary student assignment pattern is invalid but asserts that the district court went too far in adopting a remedy pairing three sets of schools.
