Defendant was tried to a jury on an indictment charging him with stealing two mirrors of the value of $250, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2A:119-2. He was found guilty, a subsequent motion for a new trial was denied, and he was sentenced to a State Prison term of one to two years. He contends on appeal that (1) the limitation of cross-examination as to the value of the stolen property deprived him of a fair trial, and (2) the charge to the jury was improper...
