RABINOWITZ, Justice.

After trial by jury, Herman Hampton was found guilty of first degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison. In this appeal Hampton advances five specifications of error and also attacks the sentence on the ground that it is excessive. Our analysis of the record and the legal arguments presented by the respective parties has persuaded us that Hampton's conviction should be affirmed and that the sentence imposed by the trial...
