JIGANTI, Justice:

The defendants in this case were charged with operating motion picture projectors without licenses in violation of the Municipal Code of Chicago, ch. 155, section 155-8 and/or section 155-25. After a trial without a jury, each of the defendants was fined $200 plus five dollars costs.

The defendants argued at trial that the evidence was insufficient to sustain a conviction, and that section 155-25 specifically exempts operators of the type...
