Plaintiff Mary Pat King applied in 1974, 1975, and 1976 for summer employment with the Hampton Beach Meter Patrol. She had personal interviews in each of the three years with defendant-appellant James Connor, who, as Chief of the Meter Patrol, is primarily responsible for hiring.
