Defendant was charged in a two-count indictment with unlawfully making a firearm in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 5822, and for knowingly possessing an unregistered firearm in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 5861(d). The weapon which is the subject of both counts is a sawed-off shotgun. The defendant in a pretrial motion has moved to suppress that weapon as well as certain statements allegedly...
