The plaintiffs, Elsie Jeanne Tucker and her minor daughter, Tracie, instituted these lawsuits, which were consolidated for trial, against the defendant, Daniel J. Reynolds. The suits arose out of an accident in Charleston County wherein the defendant's automobile crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck the plaintiffs' vehicle in a head-on collision.
