BEVILACQUA, Chief Justice.

This civil action for alienation of affections1 and for criminal conversation was brought by the plaintiff, Alice V. Bailey, against one of her husband's employees, Helen Huling. After a trial in the Superior Court, the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff on both counts in the amount of $76,000. Thereafter the trial justice denied the defendant's motion for a new trial.
