The defendant, Donald Mooreman Clodfelter, also known as John Adams (defendant or Clodfelter), waived trial by jury and was found guilty by the trial court of two offenses, one a felony and the other a misdemeanor, under the Drug Control Act, Code § 54-524.1 et seq. On the felony conviction, possession of a Schedule II controlled drug, the defendant was sentenced to a term of six years in the penitentiary with three years of that sentence suspended...
