MOYLAN, J., delivered the opinion of the Court.

The appellant, Melvin Alfonzo Cross, was convicted by a Howard County jury, presided over by Judge Joseph Mattingly, of grand larceny. Upon this appeal, he raises five contentions, the first four of which are interestingly interwined:

(1) That a new trial should have been granted because the jury's verdicts of guilty of both larceny and receiving stolen goods were inconsistent and, therefore, fatally defective...
