On July 18, 1974, plaintiff Mary Phelps brought suit in the Court of Claims individually, as administratrix of the estates of her deceased husband and children, and as next friend of her surviving child. Plaintiff sought to recover damages for injuries sustained by her and her surviving child, and for the wrongful deaths of her husband and children, in a collision that occurred on a state trunk line highway...
