The defendant was convicted, after a jury trial, of two counts of criminally negligent homicide (Penal Law, § 125.10), one count of operating a motor vehicle while impaired (Vehicle and Traffic Law, § 1192) and one count of passing a stop sign (Vehicle and Traffic Law, § 1172).
