We are called upon in the instant case to determine the propriety of a grant of summary judgment by the Wayne County Circuit Court to Local 502 (Union) ordering the board of commissioners (Employer) to implement a grievance arbitration award. For reasons to be articulated below, we conclude that the circuit court correctly granted summary judgment to the Union.
