The appellant, Joseph Edward Colbert, was convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court for Frederick County of murder in the first degree, attempted robbery and conspiracy to rob. He was sentenced to a term of life imprisonment for the murder conviction and two concurrent ten year terms for the attempted robbery and conspiracy to rob convictions.
