Appellant was put to trial upon an indictment charging murder in the first degree. The jury returned a verdict finding appellant guilty of murder in the second degree and fixed his punishment at 25 years in the penitentiary. Throughout all the trial proceedings in the Circuit Court of Madison County, appellant was represented by experienced trial lawyers of his choice.
