Defendant James Edward Terry was convicted by a Detroit Recorder's Court jury of carnal knowledge of a female minor (statutory rape), MCLA 750.520; MSA 28.788, November 17, 1975. The alleged offense took place on September 25, 1974, and was not affected by the repeal of the above section of the penal code. See saving clause provision of 1974 PA 266, § 2, eff April 1, 1975.
