COMPTON, Justice.

The statute of frauds provides, insofar as pertinent to this appeal, that no action shall be brought upon any agreement that is not to be performed within a year, unless the promise, contract, agreement or representation be in writing and signed by the party to be charged thereby. Code § 11-2(7). The question we decide here is whether the oral employment contract for personal services involved in this case falls within the foregoing provision...
