The Department of Corrections dismissed appellant Maynard from her civil service position as a correctional officer at the California Medical Facility. After an administrative hearing, the State Personnel Board concurred in the factual findings of the hearing officer, but modified the punitive action to a six-month suspension and demotion from correctional officer to stenographer II.
