Walter Troynak was charged with manslaughter in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-55 (a) (1). A jury found him guilty of manslaughter in the second degree, General Statutes § 53a-56 (a) (1), and judgment was rendered on the verdict. On appeal the defendant raises several claims of error, only two of which need be treated here: violation of his right to a speedy trial; and the court's charge to the jury regarding the lesser...
