This case is concerned with the extent of the liability of the owner of a car to third parties who have been injured by the negligence of a thief driving the car after the owner had left his keys in the ignition of his unattended car. The plaintiffs in the instant case, the injured third parties, contend that the owner is liable to them under Wisconsin and Illinois law. The owner and his insurer contend that he is not liable under Wisconsin law...
