Appellant, William Dee Ellis, hereinafter referred to as defendant, was charged with the offense of Robbery with Firearms, in violation of 21 O.S.Supp. 1973, § 801, and was tried and convicted in the District Court, Oklahoma County, Case No. CRF-75-3989. Pursuant to the jury's verdict, the defendant was sentenced to serve a term of five (5) years in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary...
