Sued by a widow for the $100,000 face amount of a group life insurance policy issued on her husband's life, the defendant life insurance company brought an "if we lose" third-party complaint against the shareholder-officers of the insured's corporate employer for recovery of the policy proceeds already paid to them. The district court directed a verdict for the widow giving her the full amount of the policy proceeds, and directed a second verdict...
