In the early morning hours of September 19, 1972, Kenneth Stumbaugh died in a fire while staying at the Northern Lights Motel in Anchorage, Alaska. His personal representative sued the motel and was awarded a total judgment of $313,650.82 after a trial by jury. Northern Lights Motel, Inc., appeals from the judgment on a variety of grounds.
