Appellants Punch, Jackson, Alston and Coffield were jointly indicted, each charged with one count of carrying a pistol without a license and one count of possession of marijuana. Tried jointly by a jury, all were convicted of the weapons offenses but only Jackson was convicted of possession of marijuana.
