Defendant was indicted for first-degree theft (ORS 164.055), convicted by a jury and sentenced to three years' probation. He appeals, asserting a number of errors. Four of the assignments, and the ones upon which he most heavily relies, raise the same problem, namely the admission of evidence of other crimes not committed as a part of the offense charged.
