Plaintiff-appellant, James Ellis Williams, Jr., instituted this action on behalf of his minor daughter, Patricia Louise Williams, against the defendants-appellees, St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Inc., of Alexandria, Louisiana, and its insurer, Argonaut Southwest Insurance Company, for injuries received by the minor while she was a patient at that hospital.
