This is a suit by the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Highways, against Gabriel F. Shaheen seeking to expropriate two parcels of land. In conjunction with the petition, plaintiff deposited $68,699.00 into the registry of the court in accordance with the provisions of LSA-R.S. 48:441-460, inclusive.
