Petitioner-respondent La Carrubba is a Judge of the District Court of Suffolk County, having been elected to that office for a six-year term on November 5, 1974. In April, 1976 petitioner was charged with the crime of official misconduct (Penal Law, § 195.00), a misdemeanor (three counts).
