Appellant Skaggs-Albertson's Properties, Inc. is apparently the owner of a chain of retail grocery outlets in Oklahoma. The problem arose as a result of the plaintiff, Ladonna Brown, giving a check to the store in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the purpose of paying for groceries which she had purchased at one of the stores.
