Plaintiff Ephriam Covington, a resident of Jackson, Mississippi, brought this action against Alphonso J. Cooper, also a resident of Jackson, as the sole owner of Liz's Washerteria, located in Jackson, for unpaid minimum wages and unpaid overtime compensation alleged to be due by virtue of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended, 29 U.S.C. § 201, et seq.
