This appeal arises out of an action for false imprisonment brought by the plaintiff-appellee, Wanda Rice, against the defendants-appellants, SuperX Drugs of Kentucky, Inc., and a clerk in its Middlesboro store, Leslie Rowland. On the first two trials of the case, the juries were unable to agree on a verdict. On the third trial of the case, the jury returned a verdict in favor of Mrs. Rice, awarding her $75,000 as compensatory damages and $75,000 as punitive...
