Thomas A. McCormick was a candidate in the primary election held in `the city of Providence on March 29, 1977 for the selection of the Democratic Party's candidate for the office of councilman for the city's Tenth Ward. At the close of the polls on that day, the voting machine count showed McCormick leading all other candidates and ahead of his closest competitor, Lloyd Griffin, by 90 votes.
