HUGHES, Justice.

In October, 1972, David D. Corley and his wife Jacqueline were divorced. By that judgment decree the children of the parties were placed in the physical custody of the mother as managing conservator. David, the father, the parent "out of custody," was granted visitation rights and made possessory conservator, burdened with duties of financial support for the children.
