OPINION

YOUNG, Justice.

This suit for hauling services on a highway construction project was brought by Trucker's, Inc., (formerly Stafford Trucking Company) against Bay Prairie Aggregate Corporation, subcontractor; South Texas Construction Company and Austin Bridge Company, prime contractors and principals on a payment bond; and St. Paul Mercury Insurance Company, surety on the bond.
