Within a year after its purchase from one of the defendants, plaintiffs' home flooded when a nearby drainage canal was unable to contain the runoff from a heavy rainfall. Claiming their seller was aware from previous experience of the home's susceptibility to flooding, but had failed to disclose this to them, the plaintiffs brought this suit in redhibition, naming as defendants the seller, her estranged...
