This is an action for damages for breach of contract. Trial was by jury, and judgment was rendered for plaintiff on the verdict. The parties will be referred to here as they were in the trial court.

Plaintiff, Micrea, Inc., and defendants, Coastal Plains Development Corporation, et al., entered into a written contract dated July 31, 1970. Such contract showed defendants were the owners of a certain 200-acre tract of land in Brazoria County...
