This lawsuit arises out of an unfortunate and tragic accident that left the plaintiff paralyzed from the neck down and inflicted with various debilitating injuries. The injuries occurred when the plaintiff dove off of a bulkhead on property owned by the defendant, Jersey Central Power and Light Company, into shallow water in Barnegat Bay, Lacey Township, New Jersey on August 8, 1974.
