The defendant appeals from a conviction of murder in the first degree. We hold that any error in the trial judge's refusal to sequester witnesses was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt, that there was no error in the denial of a directed verdict as to murder in the first degree, and that the judge was not required to charge the jury with respect to manslaughter.
