In November 1975, Tyrone Lewis Thomas was found guilty of violating 18 U.S.C. § 2312 (Count 1) and 18 U.S.C. § 1201 (Count 2). This court affirmed the conviction on direct appeal in United States v. Thomas, 536 F.2d 274 (8th Cir. 1976). The opinion was filed on June 2, 1976; mandate issued on July 12, 1976.
