McCOWN, Justice.

The defendant, Tommie L. Williams, was charged with the felony offense of first degree sexual assault. He entered a plea of nolo contendere to a lesser amended charge of assaulting another inmate while confined in the Nebraska Penal and Correctional Complex. He was sentenced to 18 months to 5 years in the Nebraska Penal and Correctional Complex to be served consecutively to the sentence he was then serving. The sole issue on this appeal is whether...
